Chad Slater Abruptly Departs MeritDirect

Chad Slater, a senior vice president of list brokerage with MeritDirect, left the employ of the firm abruptly Monday.

Industry sources said that he had been dismissed.

Ralph Drybrough, CEO of the list management and brokerage firm in Stamford, CT, confirmed that Slater was no longer with MeritDirect but declined further details.

Slater could not be reached for comment.

Slater began with MeritDirect in 2000 when Drybrough founded the company. Previously he had spent three years with Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT.

Slater’s biography, listed at the firm’s Web site, www.meritdirect.com, said, “Chad has distinguished himself in short order as the leading new business acquisition broker on staff with important wins including CDW Computer Centers Inc., American Van and Rand Material Handling.”
