Nestlé USA taps YouTube for a Butterfinger contest dangling a grand-prize Ultimate Mobile Movie Studio package.
The video contest, “Make the Most of Any Moment,” breaks today. Entrants submit videos that show how Butterfinger (and its orange “Finger” icon) can perk up mundane moments.
Ten finalists (chosen by Nestlé) will be posted on Butterfinger’s own site, FollowTheFinger.com, for consumer voting from Nov. 1 through Dec. 10. The top vote-getter wins a handheld video camera, MacBookPro computer and video editing software, and Butterfinger goodies.
The 10 finalists’ videos also will be posted on YouTube and other social-networking sites. Nine of them win a handheld digital video recorder and Butterfinger goodies. All entrants get a coupon for two Butterfingers bars.
The contest builds on Butterfinger’s current ad campaign that shows how the candy bar can spice up boring moments (during a bath, in class, at a football game, playing mini-golf).
