The system enables dealers to custom-configure their mix of online consumer leads in a variety of ways, including make and model (filtering out high demand vehicles and ‘filter in’ hard to move vehicles); online source, and distance from the dealership.
Autobytel said it surveyed dealers and found the top four improvements dealers would like to see are, in order of importance: 1. Control over leads based on where consumers are in the purchase process; 2. Ability to adjust territory for desired models or lead sources; 3. More control over where leads are sourced; and 4. Better de-duplication.
The new system allows dealerships to contract or expand territories, and increase, restrict or block specific model and lead Web sources, enabling dealers to target inventory problems and focus resources.
“We developed iControl by Autobytel to address what dealerships told us they wanted: an entirely new industry standard for third-party lead delivery that puts them firmly in control, enabling them to match their lead mix to the actual conditions on their dealership lots,” said Autobytel CEO Jeff Coats in a statement.
The system can be controlled from within an individual dealership, or at a central location of a dealer network.
