American Apparel Thong Image Gets Yanked
American Apparel, well known for its raunchy ad campaigns, is at it again. It posted a product listing on its UK website showing what appears to be a young girl modeling a spandex thong bodysuit. A complaint came in calling the image “irresponsible and offensive,” according to a San Francisco Chronicle article posted yesterday.
The UK advertising regulator yanked it quick, but not before the media got hold of the issue and spread the word giving American Apparel plenty of free advertising.
