Acxiom, Targus Roll Out Caller ID Product

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Acxiom Corp., Conway, AR, and Targus Information Corp., Vienna, VA, have introduced a new call-processing database application. The caller-identification service for telecommunications companies is Dubbed CallerName Express.

The service leverages a national database of telephone numbers linked to names, addresses and other attributes that has been built using Targus’ Linkage Technology. The result is a network of over 700 million telephone numbers for fulfilling caller-name identification queries.

The first customer for CallerName Express is expected to be signed up during the second quarter of 1999, Acxiom said. A free three-month trial of the new product is being offered to qualified customers who sign a service bureau trial agreement by April 30.
